Tolerance - Withdrawal : Benzodiazepines can cause strong physical and psychological dependence. Psychological dependence appears from the start of the treatment while physical addiction builds up gradually, making the increase of dosage necessary in order to obtain comparable effective results. Withdrawal symptoms include insomnia, strong anxiety, asthenia, anorexia, digestion problems, changes in perceiving light, taste and smell.
